Where the coffee
comes from.
We work with Arcadia, Caravela and Viva to source coffees from farmers across Latin America, Africa and beyond. Working with three partners lets us choose the right lot, not just the nearest one.
Every coffee that lands in a Typo bag scores 84 or higher on the SCA cupping scale. We roast it in Mullingar and taste it before it reaches your kitchen.

We roast every Monday and dispatch throughout the week. In-stock orders placed before 3pm, Monday to Friday, are usually dispatched the same day, excluding public holidays. Repeat Tempo deliveries follow your chosen schedule.
For espresso, brew from one to four weeks post-roast. For filter, start around one week; lighter coffees often open up after two weeks and can taste excellent for six to eight weeks. Store your valve-sealed bag in a cool, dry place and use the roast date to follow how it develops.
How does Tempo by Typo work?
Choose your amount, preferred coffee, grind and delivery schedule. Pick a favourite from our core range or choose for me to let our roastery decide. Subscribe and pay per delivery, or prepay for three monthly deliveries.
Which size should I choose?
500g arrives as two 250g packs and makes about 28 cups. 1kg arrives in one bag and makes about 56 cups. 2kg arrives as two 1kg bags and makes about 111 cups. These estimates use 18g per brew; your dose may differ.
Which coffee will I receive?
Choose Regional, Manaca, Dark Roast or Decaf as your preferred coffee at the same Tempo prices. Your preference applies to the whole delivery, including both packs in 500g and 2kg deliveries. Choose for me lets our roastery select from the core range for each delivery.
Can I change my preferred coffee?
Email info@typo.ie before your next dispatch and we can update your coffee preference. Your size, grind and delivery schedule can stay the same.
When is the coffee roasted?
We roast every Monday and dispatch orders throughout the week. Most Irish addresses receive their coffee within one to two working days of dispatch.
When will my order be dispatched?
In-stock orders placed before 3pm, Monday to Friday, are usually dispatched the same day, excluding public holidays. Orders placed later are usually dispatched the next working day. Repeat Tempo deliveries follow your chosen schedule.
How do prepaid subscriptions work?
Pay once for three monthly deliveries, with Republic of Ireland delivery included each time. The plan ends automatically after the final delivery and does not renew.
Can I give Tempo as a gift?
Choose Prepay / gift and tick I'm giving this as a gift. Add the recipient's name and an optional gift message. At checkout, enter the recipient's delivery address and use your own email and billing details so the order confirmation comes to you. All items in the same checkout go to that delivery address.
Can I pause or cancel?
Ongoing Tempo can be paused, skipped, changed or cancelled from your account. Prepaid covers the fixed number of monthly deliveries you choose and ends automatically. Contact info@typo.ie if you need help with a prepaid delivery.
Whole bean or ground?
Choose whole bean, espresso, Moka pot, AeroPress, V60, Chemex or cafetière grind. One grind applies to the complete delivery.
How much does delivery cost?
Every Tempo delivery within the Republic of Ireland is included in the price. We also deliver to Northern Ireland, with delivery charges shown at checkout. We do not currently deliver elsewhere.
Is there a minimum commitment?
Ongoing Tempo has no minimum commitment. Prepaid covers three monthly deliveries paid in advance and ends automatically after the final delivery.
What if I don't like the coffee?
Tell us. We'll swap the next bag for something that suits you better. If we can't get it right, we'll refund.
